"The death of a teacher occurs when the art they teach ceases to live in their own body."

My teaching begins in the body and moves outward — toward ensemble, toward story, toward the question that drives all my work: why does this story need to be told, and why now? I guide students toward discovering their own instruments through collaboration and healthy risk-taking, building containers where both the ridiculous and the sublime have room to breathe.

I believe the vitality of teaching depends on the vitality of practice. I continue to audition, train, and collaborate on new work — because my students deserve a teacher whose art is still alive in their own body.
